The Art Wax Werke and House on the Hill Cookie Molds are pleased to be partners in artistic endeavors.

House on the Hill owner Letha Misener and The Art Wax Werke owner Theresa Hering each came to own their businesses nearly simultaneously. With each business came product, molds, and production equipment and procedures they had to learn about.  (Letha had a medical background; Theresa had a food and textile background.)

Letha (headquartered in Missouri) discovered she needed sales representation in Ohio, and Theresa (Centerville, Ohio) had customers asking if her wax molds, many originating from original Springerle presses, could be used to imprint the popular German picture cookies Springerle.

Theresa had to tell them “no” but soon realized she knew where she could obtain genuine Springerle cookie molds and contacted Letha, whose name she read in Martha Stewart Living magazine, December 2021, in an article “Making Impressions.”  A business relationship was born, but more, a treasured friendship.  They have met at each other’s production facility to sort molds, brainstorm, collaborate, and offer moral support.
